This collection consists of a set of uncorrected proofs for Del Rey's1975 short story collection The Early Del Rey.
Lester Del Rey (June 2, 1915 – May 10, 1993) sold his first story in 1938, and from that start, became one of the more influential figures in the genre, culminating with his Del Rey Books imprint. Beginning in 1947, his editorial work included a time at the Scott Meredith Literary Agency, editorships of Space Science Fiction, Science Fiction Adventures, Rocket Stories, and Worlds of Fantasy. In addition to his influence as an editor, Del Rey was a book reviewer for Analog Science Fiction/Science Fact.
